Local Pickup and Shipping

Tuber sales are starting in February, and they will be available locally for pickup and also for shipping across Canada. Due to export regulations, I will only ship within Canada.

Local pickup:

I live in the Gordon Head neighbourhood of Saanich. I will email you my exact address when your order is ready for pickup. 

You can select your preferred pickup days/times at checkout.

Your purchase will be placed in a secure location for pickup.

If you live locally and cannot pick up, please select to have them shipped to your house directly and do not select local pickup.

Shipping:

Tuber orders ship at a flat rate of $22. Your order will need to be sent to a residential address and not shipped to a PO Box. Your order may be sent out by UPS, Purolator, or Canada Post. Your order will be shipped out when the weather for the entire shipping route will stay consistently above freezing. If your tubers freeze, they will not grow. As the weather changes every year, your shipment may get shipped in April or May, again dependent on the spring forecast. 

When you provide your email address when placing your order, once the order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with the package tracking number.

Will you ship your tubers early?

I realize it is exciting to get your tuber(s) in your possession as soon as possible. However, a tuber that gets frozen during shipment will not grow. If you would like to take the risk of having your tubers shipped out early, I can ship them out to you at your own risk. If you choose to accept the risk, please email me after purchase to advise. You will not be refunded if the tubers arrive damaged or frozen.

If you live locally, I will keep an eye on our weather and ship them if the weather is appropriate. beginning in mid-March. 

Combining orders:

I will combine orders, provided the $22 flat rate fee was paid on your initial order. Please select "local pickup" AND send an email to bloomsandbarksflowers@gmail.com to confirm that you'd like your orders to be combined.

Things to keep in mind:

Blooms and Barks Flowers is not responsible or liable for:

  • Packages that disappear after being delivered by Canada Post, UPS, or Purolator at the address provided on the order.
  • Packages that have been waiting at your local post office for pickup because they could not be delivered to the address provided.
  • Packages that cannot be delivered to the address provided on the order. Refunds will not be issued, and it will not be shipped again. 
  • Packages lost or damaged in transit by the carrier or post office, packages marked as delivered but to the wrong address. If this occurs, please submit your own claim if your order has been marked as delivered but it wasn't delivered to you.

I will double-check your shipment before sending; however, if any item is missed in your shipment, a full refund on that item will be issued. Missed items will not be mailed to you separately, as it is not cost-effective for the business.
