Purchase Terms of Service

Purchase Information

Thank you so much for your consideration in purchasing from my store. You must carefully read through the following information regarding my products and agree to these terms before you make a purchase.

Taxes

I do not charge taxes on the sale of dahlia tubers, as my annual sales do not meet the minimum CRA threshold.

Limited quantity items

Some dahlias are harder to obtain and have a limit of 1 tuber per customer per season. These limited items are noted on the product page with "LIMIT 1 PER CUSTOMER".  You may purchase multiple varieties of these limited items (i.e., you can purchase 1 Apple Blossom and 1 Hapet Granat). However, if you purchase more than 1 of the same limited variety (i.e., you purchase 2 Apple Blossoms), your entire order will be cancelled. I limit these varieties for a reason and to allow other customers to have the opportunity to purchase these special varieties. If you make multiple orders to obtain duplicates of these limited items, ALL your orders will be cancelled.

Shipping Information and Local Pickup

Please refer to the Shipping page for further details on shipping.

Diseased plants

I do my best to eliminate and cull at any sign of viruses or bacteria in my dahlia stock. I use a 10% bleach solution to clean my equipment (scissors, shovels, pruners, etc.) between all cuttings and dividing of tubers. As some viruses can take years to appear in the plants, some tubers may be sold that have dormant viruses/bacteria, which is beyond my control. I am doing my best to eliminate the diseased plants. The American Dahlia Society has more information on their website about dahlia viruses at https://www.dahlia.org/.

Return Policy

I will not accept returns except if your tubers arrive moldy or rotten; this is not normal or acceptable. Please email me at bloomsandbarksflowers@gmail.com. THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN 2 DAYS OF RECEIVING and include photos of the tuber(s) and the packaging. Anything after 2 days of being delivered is your responsibility. I cannot control how customers store, care for and grow the dahlias.

Cancellation Policy

All sales are final. No changes/cancellations will be made after you have purchased tubers.

Dahlia Tubers

Each product sold is for 1 dahlia tuber, unless otherwise specified in the product description.

Dahlia tubers will be shipped with a visible eye. I do not sell pre-sprouted dahlia tubers; however, there may be some growth during shipping. If there was a sprout and it broke off, please be assured that your tuber will have more growth from that same eye.

Additional tuber quantities will be added to the site as the eyes are confirmed.

I do my very best to ensure the overwinter storage of the tubers using wood shavings. This method has a very high success rate for my climate and storage environment. Sometimes conditions are beyond my control, and if there is a light dusting of mold on a dry tuber, you can wipe it off, let it air dry, and it will grow absolutely fine. If a tuber grows mold whilst you have it waiting to plant it, I cannot be held liable for this situation, and refunds will not be issued.
